CCC Women earn MVC Honors

Donna Dixon, Coach of the Clinton Community College Women’s Soccer Team has been named Co-Coach of the Year for the Fall 2008 Mountain Valley Conference season, Clinton’s first year as a member. Dixon has coached the Lady Cougar’s for ten years, has compiled a 137-40-8 record, and has led them to eight NJCAA Region III post season tournament, including this year. In addition, three Lady Cougars were named to the 2008 All-Conference Team.Emily Lashway (NAC) was chosen as a midfielder, Tera Coates (Candor H.S.) as a defender and Samantha “Sami” Stoughton (Saranac H.S.) as the MVC Goalie of the Year. Stoughton had six shut-outs and only gave up 16 goals in 17 games.
