CCC Men win season opener

Plattsburgh- Clinton Community College Men’s Basketball team opened their season with a win over Word Of Life Bible Institute. CCC won 86-66.

Steve Thomas had an excellent game. He was 8 for 9 from the field, 6 for 6 from the foul line and finished the game with 22 points and 8 rebounds.

Anthony Hodge added 12 points, Matt Williams scored 11 and Ariel Whittaker had 6 points and 8 rebounds.

Coach Kevin Daugherty said, “Everyone saw playing time and it was good to get all 14 guys in. They (Word of Life) shot the ball well in the second half especially from the 3 point line.”

Word of Life player Jeffery Joseph finished with 23 points and Logan Creech had four 3 pointers. He finished with 17 points.
