Clinton Men win over NCCC

Saranac Lake-Clinton Men defeated North Country CC 87-78 on Thursday.



Saranac Lake, NY- Clinton Men defeated North Country CC 87-78. Clinton was led by Steve Thomas who had 22 points.

Clinton led 25-12 at an early point game and held the lead 35-23 at the half.

Coach Kevin Daugherty said, “I thought we did a really good job in the first half of getting ourselves a nice lead. But we had a lead up here last year at half time and got beat by a point. So I pointed that out to our guys at that half."

NCCC came back strong with 6 minutes left and pulled with in 4 points with 1:22 left. Tony Sparkman of NCCC hit a three pointer making the score 79-74. Clinton answered back with 8 points to finish the game 87-78.

Pat O’Brien had 19 points, Ariel Whittaker chipped in 13 points and Julius Well added 10 points.

Clinton will host Jefferson CC on Tuesday, November at 7:00PM.
