Clinton Men tie with North Country CC 1-1
Friday, September 29, 2006
For the second time this week the Men's Soccer team at CCC has battled to a draw.Earlier in the week the men tied with Paul Smith's College. The score of that game was 0-0. On Thursday, September 28 the Men tied with North Country CC 1-1 in an overtime game. North Country took an early lead with six minutes in the first half. A Clinton player redirected the ball away from Clinton's goal Wade Studley and the ball rolled past Studley. Coach Eric Arnold said,"It was an unfortunate start to the game for us." Brannion Sample scored early in the second half with an assist from Chris White. "We came out in the second half with more intensity and scored a nice goal. We had a solid effort in the second half and I was proud of the way kids bounced back. I just hoped we would have bounced back little sooner" according to Coach Arnold. Studley finished the game with 11 saves. NCCC had a 16-12 advantage in shots on goal. Clinton hits the road to Finger Lakes CC on Saturday and Sunday they will face SUNY Delhi.
