College Announces Summer Concerts on the Bluff
Monday, June 23, 2008
On July 16, the series will present Too Tall String Band. There’s something for every taste as Too Tall shows its versatility and wide musical influences by doing everything from Celtic songs and fiddle tunes to traditional Adirondack tunes and stories to “roots” country music and even a little bluegrass.
On July 30, the series welcomes back South Junction, the powerful melodies of new country, old rock, and original music.
The concert series will conclude August 6 with Patrick Fitzsimmons Trio. New Jersey’s Daily Record wrote, “…poetic lyrics, hauntingly beautiful melodies, while also getting down right funky at times.” Mick Skidmore of Relix Magazine wrote, “Fitzsimmons’ heartfelt and often rhythmic songs are the focal point… His delicate vocals make him one of the most captivating, if understated, songwriters around today.”
Concerts on the Bluff are free and open to the public. They start promptly at 6:30 p.m. and are held rain or shine. Guests are urged to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. No alcoholic beverages are allowed. For your safety, no rollerblades or skateboards. For more information, contact the College Relations Office at (518) 562-4161.
