Alumni and Community Encouraged to Participate in CCC Homecoming/Regatta Celebration

Plattsburgh…..The Alumni Association and the Foundation of Clinton Community College will host their third annual homecoming celebration on Saturday, September 23, 2006. “The key to a successful homecoming, other than sunny skies, good food and great music, is for the community, alumni, friends, faculty & staff to personally contact a "long-lost" friend and invite them to join you for a fun time on the bluff,” explained Steve Frederick. “Word of mouth is key for our success.”

Celebrate your own successes with Clinton as we combine 40 years of excellence in education. The festivities will begin from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the annual sailing Regatta. The race will have two classes, a cruise and a race class, and is open to all who wish to participate. Registration forms are available online at, www.clinton.edu/alumni/.

The keynote speaker for this year’s program will be alumnus Deborah Ribis, Nursing Class of '80 discussing her new book, Get back on you feet! : What every injured and ill person needs to know. This event will be held between 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. in the Ronald B. Stafford Center for Arts, Science and Technology. Immediately following the discussion, Ribis will be available to sign her book.

New this year is Associate Professor in Art, Mark Davison, while expanding his skills in art innovation, will demonstrate his newest interest, chain saw carving, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on the campus oval.

Between the hours of 2:00 – 6:00 p.m., enjoy the company of alumni and friends with great food and drink under the tent on the back lawn while listening to the unique styles of the Joey Fusion jazz band.

Festivities will close about 6:00 p.m., so come early and don’t miss the chance to reunite with community, friends, former classmates, and your favorite faculty and staff.
