Wednesday, February 28, 2007
Plattsburgh, New York… Clinton Community College (CCC) student, Ray McCarthy was chosen for the Fall 2006 Best of SUNY Student Art Exhibition held at the State University Plaza Gallery in Albany, New York. Also featured in the 2006 Fall SUNY Student Art Exhibition was a painting by Jessica Nichols with her work titled, "Stained Glass." McCarthy’s artwork is a self-portrait drawing which he did as part of a Drawing I course taught by Associate Professor in Art/Fine Arts Coordinator Mark Davison.
McCarthy’s self-portrait was among the list of 39 artists chosen by a panel of SUNY professionals and will be included in the Spring semester exhibit at the College of Optometry and the 2007 Best of Show Exhibit held at the New York State Museum through September 2, 2007.
The "SUNY Student Art Exhibition Series" was created to enable the SUNY community as well as the larger Albany area to see the exceptional work of SUNY students.
McCarthy and Nichols should take great pride in their work and their accomplishments at CCC.
