CCC Spring Commencement 2008
What: CCC's Spring Commencement
Where: Forrence Center gymnasium.
When: Friday, May 16, 2008 at 6:00 pm
_Graduates should arrive at the Cougar’s Den by 5:15 pm with cap/gowns for line-up.
_The Procession (Platform Party, Faculty, Graduates) proceeds from the Moore Building to the Forrence Center lead by the Marshal and bagpipers. (In the event of inclement weather an alternate plan will be announced.)
_Graduation Rehearsal is at Noon, Friday, May 16th in the gym. The President will brief the graduates. (Note: For those students taking final exams during noon hour, a 3:15 pm mini-rehearsal will be held in the gym.)
Caps & Gowns may be picked up from the CCC Bookstore during business hours.
Pick up your gown early.
Wednesday-Thursday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
The Cage in the Forrence Center will be open for the return of faculty robes and student honor stoles immediately following ceremony.
Seating: Ushers will begin handing out programs and seating guests at 4:30 pm.
Security and Buildings and Grounds personnel will assist with crowd control and any last minute needs.
Assembly & Lineup: Graduates, assemble in the (cafeteria) Cougars Den, by 5:15 pm. Faculty will assemble in Room 105M at 5:30 pm.
Parking: Ample parking is available.
Photography: Photos of individual graduates will be taken by CRO.
Family members may approach the center aisle stanchion to take photos of their graduate.
Diplomas: Graduates will receive a diploma “cover” at the ceremony. Actual “diplomas” may be picked up June 24th - July 15th from the Registrar’s office Monday – Thursday, 9:00am and 3:00pm, and Fridays, 9:00am to 1pm. Diplomas not picked up will be mailed – but be sure to notify the Registrar if your address changes.
Clothing/regalia: All graduates wear the traditional cap and gown. Members of Phi Theta Kappa wear additional regalia, contact PTK advisor with questions. Students graduating with Honors wear honor stoles. Creative arts award medals may be worn.
Return stoles to the Cage in the gym immediately following the ceremony.
Personal Belongings: Do not bring personal belongings or valuables to the ceremony, because there is no place to store them during the ceremony.
