Intro to Kayaking
A 6 hour course designed for the beginner, it is everything you need to get started. Learn to maneuver your kayak, forward and reverse strokes, proper boat handling and outfitting. These skills will help you to become comfortable with your kayak and gear. Worried about capsizing? We also include various rescue skills. You can learn how to do a wet exit...yes, plan to get wet...and have lots of fun! So bring proper attire, sunscreen, water and a snack, and leave your worries behind. Kayak, Paddle and PFD included.


Beginner Martial Arts (Shorin-Ryu)
This class will teach the traditional Japanese art of Matsubayashi Shorin-Ryu. This class is geared for the beginner participant for ages 13 and up. (see our youth section for a children’s version) It will teach the basic movements for self defense. Participants will be introduced to the history of karate such as whymartial arts formed and its origin. This class will not only teach basic movements, but also be a great workout for those looking for alternative ways to exercise. Come wearing comfortable clothing to move in and a set of small hand weights.


Introduction to Tai Chi
This course covers the initial section of the Yang style Tai Chi basic form, consisting o f slow, continuous deliberate movement. Benefits include improvements in flexibility, balance, circulations, concentration, relaxation, and overall sense of wellbeing. No special clothing or equipment is required and all exercises can be adapted for any level of ability or fitness. Action is based solely upon individual situation.


Middle Eastern Dance for Fun and Fitness
Dance your way to fun and fitness with Liesa, professional dancer and instructor with over 20 years experience. This is a multilevel course suitable for beginners and beyond. Learn the basics of the beautiful art of Middle Eastern Dance or refine your technique. Learn at your own pace while you energize, tone, and shape up to the mesmerizing rhythms of the Middle East, North Africa, and the Mediterranean, as well as modern fusion music. You’ll love it! Wear workout or yoga type gear & bare feet, socks, or ballet slippers. Hip scarves available for class use.


Sivananda Hatha Yoga
People attending class will be introduced to meditation, yoga, postures, breathing exercises, relaxation, positive thinking, and yoga diet. Practice will maintain and increase flexibility. This class will transport you from your daily grind to being relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated. Yoga can be practiced by anyone regardless of age or physical ability.


“Abs”olutely Fabulous
A 30-minute class with total focus on abdominal training that provides a fun way to provide results. Perfect for men and women of all fitness levels.
