Beginner Martial Arts for Youths 5-12
This class will teach the traditional Japanese art of Matsubayashi Shorin-Ryu. It is geared for the beginner participant for ages 5-12. Older students may register for the adult session. This class will teach Participants will learn the basic movements for self defense. Participants will be introduced to the history of karate such as why martial arts formed and its origin. This class will not only teach basic movements, but also be a great workout for those looking for alternative ways to exercise. Come wearing comfortable clothing to move in and a set of small hand weights.



Organization and Study Skills for Middle School/High School Kids
This interactive workshop will introduce students to various approaches for organizing their academic schedules. Topics like task-management and procrastination will be discussed, as will effective scheduling for various activities. Students are asked to bring assignment due dates or academic schedules with them for hands-on practice. Registration fee includes a calendar/planner and highlighters the students can take home with them.


Spiders, Myths and Arachnophobia
Come and join Michael Lawliss, CCC’s spider expert, as he helps you increase your knowledge of spiders, reduce any fears you may have, and bust a few myths along the way! Time will be provided to answer any questions that you have about spiders!


American Red Cross Babysitter's Training
American Red Cross Babysitter's Training gives 11-15 year olds the skills and confidence they need to become great babysitters. This 6 hour class covers training in care giving, decision making, safety and first aid skills, as well as information on prevention and response to emergencies. Course participants receive The Babysitter's Training Handbook, which provides course review and 30 easy-to-follow first aid action plans for handling emergencies.
