What is my username/password and how do I activate my account?
Students can activate their accounts by clicking Student Portal from the home page and then click the Activate My Student Portal link.  Follow the link to set a password and receive your new username. It is encouraged that you print the confirmation page for your reference. Your username will be your first name, middle initial and last name all together without spaces in lower case. For example, oliverwholmes if my name was Oliver Wendell Holmes.  If you did not use a middle initial when you registered for CCC, your username will not have a middle initial. 


Returning Students: Your account is still active and you should be able to use.  If you forgot your information, you will need to follow the steps described previously to Activate My Student Portal


What is my password?

When activating your account, you selected a new password.  If you forgot your password, please use the Forgot Password link located on the Student Portal Login Screen to reset your password.    

What if I forgot my password?
Use the Forgot Password option on the Student Portal link and you will be aided in resetting your password.      

How can I change my password?
Students can only change their password by using the Change Password option in the Student Portal. 

How do I log into Webmail?
Use the link within the Student Portal to access Webmail or go to https://portal.office.com   For your Username, enter your complete email address.  Your email address is example@students.clinton.edu (where example is, use your username).

What is my email address?
A student email address is different from our faculty/staff.  Your email address is example@students.clinton.eduUse your username instead of the word "example".  Students receive 50MB limit in Microsoft's Cloud Service, Office 365.

Can I print from my laptop if I have a wireless connection?
Unfortunately you can not print from your laptop currently.  You will need to save your document to a campus computer and print from one of our labs. 

How do I save to my Network Space?
Students have network space available while on campus but we encourage our students to save Microsoft's Cloud Service, Office 365. OneDrive enables students to store 1 TB of file storage accessible anywhere with a network location. How long will my emails stay in my Webmail and my files stay in Office 365?
Webmail, network, and OneDrive files are available for registered students so once you graduate or are no longer a student, these will not be available to you. You will be able to transfer your Office 365 account to another institution if they participate in the program.

Where are the computer labs located on campus?
Moore (Main) Building:  307M, 314M, 437M, 446M, & 461M
Stafford Center Building:  120T & 308T
Above rooms have printers and are available when not in use.

Is there a color printer available for student use?
A color printer available for students is located in the Douglas Library (2nd floor Main building). 

How do I sign up for NYAlert, State University of New York system, in partnership

I can't afford Microsoft Office, what can I do?
All students registered at Clinton Community College have the ability to download Microsoft Office 365. This will enable students to download 5 copies of Microsoft Office 2013 on devices of their choice. Just login to your webmail and an install link is located right there! There is also the ability to use Office Web Apps.  For instructions on using the programs, click here.  

     
How can I configure CCC email to my cell phone?
Clinton Community Colleges uses Microsoft Exchange (Outlook) and our students access their emails by using Outlook Web Access (OWA).  Typically the information you need is your username, our domain name of clinton, the name of the incoming/outgoing mail server - mail.clinton.edu and that we use a secure site.  If you need additional assistance, please feel free to contact the Technology Coordinator.

Email Type:  Microsoft Exchange
Server Name: outlook
Domain: outlook.office365.com
Username: your username
Password:  your password
Email Address: username@students.clinton.edu
SSL: click to check the box if asked  

What can I use for Word Processing for a mobile system (phone, tablet)? 
Microsoft's Cloud Service, Office 365 will enable you to install the software to your phone, tablet, PC, MAC, or iPad. 

Is there a discount for software and hardware because I am a student?
Students connected to Clinton Community College can purchase software and hardware through www.deals4edu.com (a Logicsoft site).
