Typically, footers are connected to the previous page or "section." In order to create a custom footer that is not connected to the previous page, you will need to insert a Section Break. To create a Section Break: 1. Click Insert, Break Decide what type of break you want (sugegstion: Page Break, Next Page).To custom your Footer: 1. Click on View, Header and Footer. 2. Click on the Switch between Header and Footer icon to access the "Footer" area (or just click in the "Footer" area of the page you are working on). Enter the information you want displayed on this page. 3. Move to the next page to enter the "footer" information. Notice this has the previous footer information. If you scroll down a bit, you will see "Same as Previous" listed above the Header of the next page. Click in the body of the "footer" information. 4. On the Header and Footer toolbar located at the top of the screen, click on the icon that looks like two sheets of paper side be side with an arrow from one to the other. This is the "Link to Previous" icon. You are disconnecting the one page from the other. The system will ask you "Do you want to delete this header/footer and connect to the header/footer in the previous section?". Click No. You should now be able to customize your footer.
