ACCESSING THE STUDENT WEBMAIL Make sure you have logged onto a computer here at campus (this has to be done atleast once to activate your account). We have created a USERNAME and PASSWORD scheme that uses information you already know: the first four letters of your last name and the last four digits of your Social Security number is your USERNAME. Your PASSWORD for the first time only is your Social Security Number without the hyphens. You will be prompted to change it after logging on the first time. Remember to use lower case for your USERNAME and PASSWORD. Open INTERNET EXPLORER or another web browser program. Go to the main Clinton Community College web site (www.Clinton.edu). Click on the option that says STUDENT WEBMAIL (this is located under CURRENT STUDENTS or click on the link located on the bottom of all our web pages). The system will ask you for your USERNAME and PASSWORD. Enter clinton where is asks for the DOMAIN. IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS ACCESSING THE STUDENT WEBMAILPlease review the area below and see if any of these may pertain to you or your computer system. 1. My Computer uses Windows XP as an operating system. Please enter <clinton\> before your USERNAME. For example; clinton\smit3456. You can also use your complete email address. For example: smit3456@students.clinton.edu 2. I use AOL as my Internet Service Provider. Connect to your Internet Provider, but minimize it and use Internet Explorer or Netscape to access the STUDENT WEBMAIL. AOL prevents access to the STUDENT WEBMAIL. 3. Do you use an "accelerator" or "pop up preventer"? These may stop access to the above areas. Temporarily disable this feature and try accessing the area again. 4. Have you signed on to a computer at campus prior to trying to access the above feature from home. Currently this is a requirement unless you are a Distance Learning student exclusively.STILL CAN'T GET ONYour success is important to us. You have a multitude of options: 1. You can email helpdesk for assistance. 2. Visit the Computer Help Desk located on the 3rd floor in room 339M. 3. Visit Douglas Library for assistance.
