Bringing the World Home Through Diversity at CCC
Celebrating diversity is an integral part of what makes CCC a great college. “Diversity” is often defined as “different.” But different than what or who? What kinds of differences count?
The concept of diversity encompasses accepting, respecting and understanding that each individual is unique. It means that our individual differences should be recognized and honored. Exploring differences in a safe, positive, creative and nurturing environment leads to appreciating each other and moving beyond simple tolerance to embracing and celebrating the rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual and in our world.
