Douglas Library Mission Statement

Provide the college community access to the information, ideas, services, and environments needed to strengthen teaching and learning. 


The LeRoy M. Douglas Sr. Library is located on the second floor of the Main Building, overlooking historic Lake Champlain. Named for the first chair of the Board of Trustees of Clinton Community College, the library provides an array of information services to meet the academic 
mission of the college.The Douglas Library houses over 42,000 volumes and maintains a collection of 115 print magazines, journals and newspapers, as well as tens of thousands of book and periodical titles online.

The library is fully automated with an online catalog, 29 computer stations, a state-of-the-art library classroom for bibliographic instruction and library research skills classes, and a Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) for professional development. The library’s Media Services department has an outstanding collection of DVDs, CDs, software, videotapes and records, as well as media equipment, scanner, color printer, and individual and group viewing stations. Reference services are available during library hours to assist patrons in selecting and locating materials.
